Freelance web developer · Budapest

Websites that look expensive. Prices that aren't.

I’m Bálint, a freelance web developer building modern, fast, mobile-friendly websites for restaurants, barbershops and small businesses in Budapest and across Europe. I’m early in my career, so my rates sit well under market. My standards don’t.

Quick turnaround

Most small business sites go live in one to three weeks, not months.

Mobile first

Designed for phones first, because that's where most of your customers are.

SEO ready

Clean structure, fast loading and proper tags so Google can actually find you.

Looked after

Updates, backups and small fixes handled after launch, if you want them.

What I do

Three things, done properly

Design, build, and keep it running. You can take all three or just the part you need.

Website design

A layout and look built around your business, not a template with your logo dropped on top. You see the design before a single line of code is written.

Website build

Hand-built or WordPress, whichever fits your budget and how much you want to edit yourself. Fast, responsive and ready for search engines.

Maintenance & care

Updates, backups, security checks and content changes so your site doesn't quietly rot six months after launch.

Who I build for

Small businesses that deserve a better site than they have

These are the businesses I focus on right now, but honestly, if you need a website, I’ll build it.

Restaurants & cafés

Menus that are readable on a phone, opening hours, booking links and photos that make people hungry.

Barbershops & salons

Price lists, your team, and a booking button that's impossible to miss.

Local shops & trades

Services, service area, reviews and a phone number that's one tap away.

Personal & portfolio

CVs, creative portfolios and personal brands that look sharp and load fast.

Why work with me

You get an agency-standard site without the agency invoice

I’m a solo freelancer building up my portfolio, and I’m honest about what that means: you get my full attention and prices well below market rate, because early projects are worth more to me than the margin.
What you don’t get is a junior handed your project while you pay senior rates, or three weeks of silence between emails. You talk to me, every time.

How it works

Four steps, no surprises

You always know what’s happening, what it costs and what happens next.
Step 01

We talk

A short call or email exchange. What your business does, who you want to reach, and what the site needs to achieve. Free, no obligation.
Step 02

I design it

You get a design and a fixed price before any building starts. Changes at this stage cost nothing, so this is where we get it right.
Step 03

I build it

The real thing, on your domain, tested on phones, tablets and desktops. You see progress as it happens.
Step 04

Launch & look after

We go live together. After that I can keep it updated, backed up and secure, or hand you the keys. Your call.

In the workshop

I’m at the start of my portfolio, so I’d rather show you nothing than show you someone else’s work. These slots fill up as projects go live.

Questions

Straight answers

It depends on how many pages you need and whether you want to edit it yourself, but a small business site from me costs meaningfully less than agency rates. That’s the whole point of working with someone who’s building their portfolio. Tell me what you need and you’ll get a fixed price before anything starts.

A typical small business site takes one to three weeks from approved design to launch. The slow part is usually waiting on text and photos from you, so the faster you send those, the faster you’re live.

Yes. I can register your domain, set up hosting and connect everything, or work with what you already have. Domain and hosting fees are paid to the provider, not to me, and I don’t mark them up.

If that matters to you, say so at the start and I’ll build it on WordPress with Elementor so you can change text, prices and photos yourself. I’ll show you how.

Yes, I work in both English and Hungarian, and I can build your site in one language or both, with a language switcher like the one on this site.
